Candy Apple Pork Spareribs

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • Pork Spareribs

  • Dijon Mustard

  • Rib rack rub

  • Mrs. Shirley's All-Purpose Seasoning

  • Apple Juice

  • Apple Jelly

  • Sweet & Sour


Preparation

  1. Clean off a rack of pork spareribs

  2. Pat dry and remove the membrane

  3. Add dijon mustard as a binder

  4. Season with the rib rack bbq rub and Mrs. Shirley's All- Purpose Seasoning

  5. Repeat on the other side

  6. Marinate for 1 hr or preferbly overnight

Oven:

  1. Place the ribs in the oven on 350 degrees covered for 3 hours

  2. While that's cooking, heat up the apple jelly and sweet & sour mixture

  3. Take the ribs out the oven and pour the sauce on the ribs

  4. Place the ribs back into the oven on 500 degrees to get a nice carmelization for 10-15 minutes (Watch them so they do not burn)

  5. Remove, allow them to cool down a tad bit and enjoy!

Grill:

  1. Place the ribs on the grill uncovered for 3 hours

  2. An hour in, spray the ribs with apple juice

  3. While that's cooking, heat up the apple jelly and sweet & sour mixture

  4. Take the ribs off the grill and pour the sauce on the ribs

  5. Place the ribs back onto the grill to get a nice carmelization for 10-15 minutes (Watch them so they do not burn)

  6. Remove, allow them to cool down a tad bit and enjoy!
